Teething

Soothe sore gums, drooling, and irritability as new teeth push through — without the numbing gels or sugary syrups.

Prevention
Key nutrients: Calcium, magnesium, vitamin D, vitamin K2 — for the baby; nursing parent's diet matters.
Eat regularly: For the parent: sardines with bones, leafy greens, eggs, natto, cheese, oily fish. For baby: chilled cucumber, frozen fruit in a feeder once weaning.
Cold and gentle gum pressure soothe more than any supplement.

Chilled chamomile teabag

HerbTraditional use

Brew a weak chamomile tea, chill the bag in the fridge, and let baby gum it under supervision. Calms and mildly numbs sore gums.

Pairs well with: Chamomilla 30C homeopathic

Chamomilla 30C (homeopathic)

OtherTraditional use

1 pellet dissolved in a teaspoon of water, given 2–3× daily during peak teething irritability — a long-standing pediatric homeopathic remedy.

Frozen washcloth or silicone teether

OtherTraditional use

Wet, twist, and freeze a clean washcloth for ~30 minutes; gives firm cold counter-pressure against erupting teeth.

Clove-infused coconut oil (very dilute)

HerbTraditional use

1 drop clove essential oil in 2 tbsp coconut oil, rubbed sparingly on the gum with a clean finger. Mildly numbing.

⚠ Cautions: Use very dilute; never undiluted clove oil on a baby. Not for under 12 months without practitioner guidance.

Calcarea Phosphorica 6X

MineralTraditional use

Schüssler tissue salt — 2 tablets dissolved in water 2–3× daily, traditionally used to support tooth eruption and ease teething discomfort.

A note of caution. Natural doesn't mean risk-free. Herbs and supplements can interact with medications, affect pregnancy, or worsen certain conditions. Speak with a qualified clinician before starting a new regimen, especially if you take prescriptions.
